PJ Barch Slices Through Opponent in Special Match at Combat Jiu Jitsu Worlds 2021

PJ Barch Slices Through Opponent in Special Match at Combat Jiu Jitsu Worlds 2021

Lately, the Butter Panther has been slicing his way through opponents. Sure enough, this match was no exception.

The "Butter Panther" PJ Barch strikes again as he dominates Entran Cancun's Jorge Tax with a buttery smooth execution of the rear-naked choke.

From the get-go, Phalanx Pro Team athlete PJ Barch was in absolute control. With every move displaying confidence and technical precision, Barch took Jorge Tax down with a twisting takedown and kept him locked in position with a leg drag. Tax put up a good fight, but Barch was relentless.

Tax struggled to regain control, and his efforts ultimately opened his back to Barch. When the Butter Panther slides himself into position, it is only a matter of time before his opponent taps out. Sure enough, Tax was out of the game due to the RNC, though he fought valiantly and did not give up that choke easily.

Jorge Tax is a skilled grappler. Unfortunately for him, he matched up with PJ Barch, who is on a tear right now, confident, focused and hungry as ever.

In the same lineup, Phalanx Pro Team athlete Nathan Orchard submitted his opponents all the way up to the finals. Unfortunately, he ultimately came up short, ending the night with a verbal tap-out. He later made a post on Instagram to explain what happened and express his gratitude to his supporters. "It's my third time making it to the finals without taking it all home," he said, "Regardless, I had an absolute blast!"
